Paul L. Schechter, MPH, MA, CPA (inactive) is the Founder of Community Harvest®. He specializes in the business design of small, privately-held businesses. He leverages his business & financial knowledge in order to help his clients achieve business sustainability.
PUBLIC HEALTH/HEALTH CARE MANAGEMENT:
He graduated from U.C. Berkeley in 1975 with a B.S. In Public Health. He completed a Masters Degrees in Health Care Management from the University Of Illinois Medical Center
CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT:
He previously practiced as a CPA from 1980-2021. He worked in the Financial Audit division of Arthur Andersen & Co. and also worked in their tax department. He later joined Ernst & Young where he was a Sr. Tax Manager and was designated a national specialist in partnerships and real estate. He has held a number of consulting positions as Financial Controller, CFO, Bankruptcy Consultant and Tax Director. He ran the Tax Answer Hotline for several years and provided tax advice to other CPA's. He was also formerly a Quickbooks ProAdvisor.
